We attended our first Motown Night last Friday at the Top Club. Just like
to let you know as ex Uncle Toms regulars it was as near as I've ever seen
to the "Real Thing". We don't go out too often these days as we both thought the modern day stuff was not for us, but my daughter who had been at the last Top Club night almost hijacked us saying you've got to see
this , maybe this is what it was like at that Uncle Toms you keep going on about. You see Kevin we still talk about the place after all these years. I've
got to tell you I felt as though I was on some illegal substance and I wasn't drunk, I kept looking at my wife and she had the biggest grin on her face I've seen in years. Thank you so much for bringing back so many happy memories to us both. We loved the guy in the red hat who was dancing on
the stage, don't know if he was one of your staff, or just a customer, but he couldn't half dance. Next time I'll come and say hello and shake your hand.

Friday night at Walkden must go down as the best ever, and this is coming
from somebody who has been at loads of your nights. What an unbelievable
atmosphere, I was buzzing that much I couldn't sleep, maybe the booze
had a bit to do with that, but really I haven't enjoyed myself that much in
years. I can't think of the last time I heard such great music, that just kept on going. You have really got it so right it untrue.

Thanks for a great night at The Vets on Friday. It's so good to hear some
proper music for a change. All this modern day rubbish drives me mad. As
far as I'm concerned you'll never beat Motown. It probably helps that it's

What a brilliant night last Friday at Swinton Legion, the whole town was shaking, it was fantastic. Our Christine enjoyed her birthday and she met some old school friends. Your music, site and photo's are fabulous and it's lovely to be able to listen to the best music ever while browsing your site. I don't think I have enjoyed myself so much since the 60's and believe me I have danced for 40 odd years. Keep up the good work and we really appreciate the time and effort you put into the night. The Motown night at the Con Club was just Mega, it was the best one
we've ever been too. Where do you get all these people from. We live in
Little Hulton and didn't know many people. The atmosphere was just

We really enjoyed it at Patricroft last Friday. It was a really good turn out
which was nice to see. At times it was like a "Peter Kay" sketch, people
dancing on there way to the dance floor. That's always a sign of a good

your nights at Walkden, and I've got to admit it was much better than I
imagined. All the ladies seemed to be really into it, mind you when it

atmosphere, and there are so many characters about. Everybody seems
to be out for a good night, there is none of the usual posers. I never went

Bloody brill, what else can I say. We came to your Motown night for the
first time last Friday at Walkden Legion. It seems that we must be the only
people who didn't know about your evenings, judging by the number of

I attended my first Motown night last night at The Con Club, it was crazy,
I never knew that you had them, although the room seemed to be full of
loads of people I knew. Nobody had ever told me about them. You have
most certainly recreated the old Uncle Toms atmosphere, I never thought
I'd see that again. Thanks for bringing so many happy memories back
to me, just like the old days. Even managed to over dose on vodka, as I

your Motown Nights. Just for the record here's some more praise. Your
music is great to someone like me who is a complete Motown freak. I liked
the way you played mostly what I call Detroit Motown, you'll know what
I mean (Funk Brothers backing). It was a really friendly crowd as well.

I caught your recent Motown Night at Walkden, just a few comments. As
a newcomer to your nights I don't know how I haven't found you before, i was talking to a girl who said she had been to every one you have held going back about two years. You've got the music spot on, I congratulate
you. The atmosphere was really friendly. The main point of my mail, you're giving it away, that night was worth £5 of anyones money, anyone who
doesn't agree with me wants to try some of the other motown/soul nights

Sorry to hear that you've moved your Christmas event to Walkden. I believe
there was a cock up with the bookings, it a shame cause I can walk home

I never went to Uncle Toms Cabin, I wasn't old enough, some of my
school friends used to go to the Kids Disco. I wasn't allowed, my mum
said it wasn't the sort of place I should go to. That made me want to go
even more. If the atmosphere was half as good as on your Motown nights
it must have been some club. Please please please keep the Motown nights going.
