The idea of this page is two fold. Firstly I've been asked quite a few times what I've been
doing since the Uncle Tom's days - so I've done a potted history of my professiuonal
career. But firstly I am going to write a few lines about every event we hold. The idea of this is that it will keep anyone who missed an event in touch. So here goes.

FIRSTLY THE BLOG:

FRIDAY 5TH MARCH 2010 - TOP CLUB LITTLE HULTON.

Unbelievable, what else can I say. Little Hulton has been supporting me for forty years,
and you're still there. Thanks gang I love every one of you. To say it was a burster is under
estimating it. Firstly thanks to the "A Team who I know will support me come rain or shine.
They come in from all over Greater Manchester. Also thanks to all the "Motown Virgins"
who were doing it for the first time. Just look at what you've been missing folks, now
you know it's true what everyone has been telling you. This is the greatest Motown
Night in the north of England.

A special thanks to Paul the steward and all his hard working staff who managed to
keep the booze flowing without any problems this time. Thanks gang.

We had so many birthdays with us I was struggling to keep up with them, but a special
mention to Shelley my number one birthday girl. Pissed again Shell, thank goodness
we had Sandra there to keep some order (well just about). We didn't have any large
parties which was probably just as well, cause I don't know where we would have put them.

Lastly thanks to Tony who always helps with the Teddy Bear draw. Your suppose to
give them a peck on the cheek Tone, not get into a full "Tongues" session. I guess there
has to be fringe benefits with every job. Finally to the gentleman who wondered if we
might play some Guns & Roses, behave yourself Dan !!!

We are back at the Top Club on Friday 2nd April, hope to see you then. If you fancy some
Motown next Friday we are at Boothstown Legion, it's a great room, if you've not been
before give it a try.

FRIDAY 19TH FEBRUARY 2010 - WALKDEN LEGION.

Doesn't time fly, here we are back at Walkden doesn't seem like a month since our
last visit. As ever for Walkden it was a absolute burster. I think we had quite a lot of
"Motown Virgins" attending, lord only knows where they have been for the last four
years. My regulars were a little thinner than usual, don't know what I'd do without Diane
Sam and Lorna, a few of The A Team gone missing again. Time you got a new job Tone!!
Whoever you were thanks for supporting us, we need you.

A few special events to report. Firstly we had loads of birthdays Stella, Joyce and loads of
others, sorry if I've missed the names. Then we had Lynn and the girls who were out on
Lynns "Hen Night", what better place for an Hen night than the Motown. And finally we
had a party of my favourite "Dinner Ladies" who are evidently being split up on the work
front. Hope your still going to come to the Motown girls. Don't forget folks if you're having
a party there's no better place to celebrate than "The Motown",

Next week we are having a rare night off, but will be back stronger than ever on Friday
5th March 2010 at the Top Club, Little Hulton. Were back here at Walkden on Friday
19th March 2010.

FRIDAY 12TH FEBRUARY 2010 - FARNWORTH VETS.

It was good to be back at Farnworth, as we haven't been here for a few months. As ever
we seemed to have more people who were new to the "Motown", hope you enjoyed it
folks and will be back to see us on the 9th April if not before at one of our other venues.
My regulars were in attendance as ever, the "A Team" never lets me down, although
they travel in from all over Greater Manchester. To everyone thanks for supporting us, as
I've said before we are nothing without you gang.

A couple of special mention, nice to have Sylvia back with us at the "Motown", she's been
a bit off colour, sticking in sick notes week after week. Also a special Happy Birthday to
Sharon, better known as number one "Santa's Helper" at our Christmas Motown. Thanks
Tone for giving us the info. The big event of course was meeting Charlotte otherwise
known as Mrs Greeny , God the woman must be a saint standing for him.

Next week it's back to Walkden Legion hope to see you there folks. We'll be back at
"The Vets" on Friday 9th April 2010, make it a date gang you won't be sorry.

FRIDAY 5TH FEBRUARY 2010 - THE TOP CLUB, LITTLE HULTON

For forty odd years Little Hulton has never let me down, and you bet your life they did
the business again for me. We've had some good first nights in the past, but this one
must take the biscuit.

It always promised to be a packer, and so it turned out at our new home in Little Hulton.
There were one or two teething problems, but you know we'll have them sorted out by
next time gang. Thanks to all my regulars and also all the "Motown Virgins" for making this a great night. We saw some friends we haven't seen for ages, great to have you back at the Motown Wend and John. Pierre also popped in to make sure order was being kept, it was like the old days.

Speaking of the old days, we had a visit from one of the old Uncle Toms disc jockeys one
Mr Paul Worrell. We've been looking for this guy for ages, any other Uncle Toms staff out there come and say hello gang.

I'd love to know what you thought of it folks, come on make the time to send me an E Mail, because as I keep saying without you were nothing, so let me know.

Next week it's Farnworth Vets and we are back at The Top Club on Friday 5th March,
make sure you make it again.

FRIDAY 29TH JANUARY 2010 - SWINTON ROYAL BRITISH LEGION

Our first visit of the year to Swinton Legion and it proved to be another cracker. Loads
and loads of new faces to the "Motown" and quite a few who had been with us before.
We are starting to get quite a few Swinton regulars which is great to see, and of course
loads of "Motown Virgins". You will go a long way to find a better Motown night than this.
As always we had Di and the gang who are with us wherever we go, nice to see Dave
back after his trip to the Northern Link. Colin the Dancemaster motored up from Stockport
to show his skills off.

Swinton has always been mad - we had our own John Travolta lookalike with us he's on
the photo's. Also Norma had her birthday night out with the girls. Apart from that it just
turned out to be a cracking night. Special mention should also be made for the return of
"The Cleavage Sisters" it's always an uplifting event to see these two ladies. They hadn't
been with us since before Christmas.

Our next visit to Swinton is on FRIDAY 28TH MARCH 2009, unfortunately our intended
visit in February has been cancelled due to a cock up in the bookings. Make sure you
make it folks on Friday 28th March.

FRIDAY 22ND JANUARY 2010 - WALKDEN ROYAL BRITISH LEGION

This was the first night of 2010 at the venue of our monster Christmas bash. Good to be
back at Walkden and see so many of the regular faces back at the Motown. We were
missing a few of our regulars who choose to go to the Northern Link but that's there choice. To our actual "A Team" including the returning Tone we love you gang. To any
"Motown Virgins" who attended for the first time, welcome along folks where oh where have you been for the last three years.

We had a few birthdays to report, firstly the lovely Lorna who choose the Motown for that
special night, this lady knows how to celebrate. Then there was June whose birthday it
had been this week. June goes back all of the three years we've been going, happy birthday my love, and last but by no means least Norma from Swinton, whose having her
birthday bash at Swinton next week, happy birthday Norma.

Finally you will see from the photos some of our regulars have started a new fashion of
giving me the finger, I know you love me really gang behave yourselves.

Next week it's Swinton British Legion and we are back at Walkden on Friday 19th
February 2010 make sure your with us gang.

FRIDAY 15TH JANUARY 2010 - BOOTHSTOWN BRITISH LEGION

Hey gang it's great to be back for another year. Jimmy and myself have bearly been
out for a month, there was a danger of us both becoming housebound. Firstly what a
magnificient turn out for early January, I thought it might be a bit quiet, but I should have known better, you're always there when I need you gang. To anyone who was new to
the "Motown" hope you enjoyed yourself you are no longer "Motown Virgins", welcome along let's hope you become regulars. To all my regulars thanks folks where would I be
without you.

If you take a look at the photos, you will see a few different ones than normal. James seems to fancy himself as a beach photographer at Blackpool, getting a bit of practice
in, some stunning shots. It was good to have the dancing boys with us showing there moves. My number one ideas/promotion man Danny was well into it, the lovely M/s
Rowan had to watch her toes Dan. Top man. There were a few sick notes from "The A Team" mentioning no names, but you're on a yellow card Tone!!!

All told it was a great start to 2010, lets keep it going folks.

Next week it's Walkden hope to see you there. We're back at Boothstown on Friday 12th
March 2010. Sure it will be good.

FRIDAY 18TH DECEMBER 2009 - WALKDEN BRITISH LEGION

Well what can I say, to quote the song "I wish it could be Christmas Every Day". You did
me proud gang and hopefully everybody who was there enjoyed themselves and had
a crackling start to the festivities. If you have as good a Christmas as you had last night
you will be all right. I know some of the efforts some people made to get there as they didn't want to miss it, thanks folks it means a lot to me.

I have a major major apology to make regarding the photos. Unfortunately and I know
this sounds impossible we lost our main camera and with it all the photos that were on
it. Thanks to people who have helped me out by letting me have there photos, and hopefully I will be adding to what I have on the site as I get them.

Finally all I have to say is to every one of you have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy
New Year. Thank you for your magic support during 2009 and I hope you will stay with
us through 2010, as it promises to be yet another great year. We've got some new venues
and lost one of the old ones, but I will be churning the Motown out as long as you all
support me.

Don't forget we start back on Friday 15th January 2010 at Boothstown.

Have a good one gang, love you all  Kevin.

FRIDAY 11TH DECEMBER 2009 - SWINTON ROYAL BRITISH LEGION.

This was our second night at Swinton, and what a cracking night it turned out to be.
Thanks to all the people who returned after our first night, lets hope you become
regulars at the Motown gang. We got rid of all the day tripers from the first night, and
now have people who love the music and want to enjoy themselves. From next year
we are going monthly here and hope it will become a success. A special thanks to all
my regulars who motored in from all over Greater Manchester, you know I love you gang.

Yet again no mega parties to report, but we had one very special birthday. The lovely
Barbara wife of our own Johnboy, came to the Motown for the birthday bash, we're
pleased you picked us my love, don't forget next year we'll still be going. Barbara has
now got every CD we have ever done, keep bopping around the house my love. There's
this years Christmas CD out next week I'll send you one.

And finally next week is our big Christmas Do at Walkden Legion, if you're coming please
come early or you wont get in. If not we are back at Swinton on Friday 29th January
2009 hope to see you then.

FRIDAY 4TH DECEMBER 20009 - LITTLE HULTON CONSERVATIVE CLUB.

Well this was an end of an era, our final night at the Con Club. We have been here
for about two and a half years, and the Motown has certainly changed a bit in that time.
Worry not gang the Motown WILL CONTINUE in Little Hulton, me and Jimmy will be
churning it out again from the beginning of February just up the road at the Top Club.
We very much hope you will stay with us for the best Motown Night in the North. May I
just take this chance to thank the Con Club for hosting us for the last two and a half
years. We move on gang and become stronger.

On to the night, this was one of our poorer attendances of late. We seemed to be missing
quite a few of our regulars, which was a shame but I know they will be back. To any
"virgins" who were with us for the first time, hope you enjoyed it folks, make sure you come back soon. Unfortunately at this time of year we tend to clash with plenty of works
Christmas parties etc.

There wasn't really any "specials" to report, apart from M/S Blackburn crawling about
on the floor, not sure if it was the booze, sore foot or what Di. You know I love you
sweetness, but you will have to improve your behaviour. Finally just to wish one of our
regulars Alan from Oldham a very happy birthday, he was there as usual sliding around
the floor.

Put a note in your diary folks, new Little Hulton venue the Top Club kicks off on
Friday 5th February 2010.

FRIDAY 27TH NOVEMBER 2009 - BOOTHSTOWN BRITISH LEGION.

This was our first night at Boothstown, what a great start we had. It was pleasing to
see so many "Motown Virgins" from the locality enjoying the wonders of Motown for
the first time. It just shows everybody loves this music wherever they are. Hope you
enjoyed it folks and will be back again on the 15th January 2010. As always thanks
to my regulars who travelled in from Walkden, Little Hulton, Patricroft and various
other points of Greater Manchester. A special mention for Chris who came for his
birthday bash all the way from Wales. Also thanks to Lee from Radio Cars who sorted
out the transport from Little Hulton.

No special parties to report, but we had another classic Motown moment, when a
gentleman who shall remain nameless arrived for another great night of dancing and
drinking at the Motown. When he approached the bar he suddenly realised he'd
forgot his money, suddenly exit stage left leaving lovely wife sat on her own and
hotfoots it home to collect the readies. Roughly twenty minutes later the return of one
breathless husband, looking somewhat sheepish !!!

To the ladies from the Greyhound pub, who compared me to Mel & Madge from the
Benidorm programme on the telly. I'm coming to see you girls, it will be smacked
bums when I get there.

Finally thanks to Kenny (the steward) and all his staff who kept the booze flowing to
our ever thirsty clients.

That's it folks don't miss next Friday at Little Hulton Conservative Club.

FRIDAY 20TH NOVEMBER 2009 - WALKDEN ROYAL BRITISH LEGION.

It was good to be back at Walkden the venue for our "Christmas Do". Considering it
was Children in Need it was a cracking turnout. Thanks to everyone who turned out
regulars and "Virgins", as I keep saying we love you all gang, and without you we are
nothing.

I will have to keep this short as at the moment I am suffering major computer problems,
but at least I have managed to get the photos on the site, albeit perhaps not in there
usual high standard.

Whatever you do gang try and make next week it's a new one at Boothstown British
Legion. It promises to be a good one.

FRIDAY 13TH NOVEMBER 2009 - FARNWORTH VETS.

Friday the 13th unlucky for some, it wasn't for us on our return to Farnworth Vets after
a two year break. Jimmy and I always believed in this room and it was great to see it
so packed. As always thanks to the regulars who travelled in from all over Greater
Manchester, you know what I think of you gang. And yet again it was good to see so
many "Motown Virgins" finding out about the wonders of "Motown". Now you see what
you have been missing folks. A special thanks to Steve the steward and all his wonderful
ladies behind the bar who grafted like good ones to keep the booze flowing. We are
back at the Vets on Friday 12th February next year, then hopefully a bit more regularly.

There were no massive parties to report , probably just as well as I'm not sure where
we would have put them. There were numerous birthdays and to you all may we wish
you a very happy birthday.

It was great to see Garry & Jean back with us, as they have been absent for a while,
seems Gaz hasn't been too well. The story is they were evidently in the bath together,
the lovely Jean was in a romantic mood and had places scented candles all the way
around the bath. Gaz had cracked one of his jokes and the lovely Jean had pushed him,
unfortunately straight into some candles that caught his hair on fire. There is no truth
in the rumour that it was a set up for "Claims Direct".

Hope to see you next week at Walkden British Legion.

FRIDAY 6TH NOVEMBER 2009 - LITTLE HULTON CONSERVATIVE CLUB.

It was another good night at the "Con Club" for our penultimate visit, as you probably
know from the start of next year we will be moving 400 yards up the road. Yet again we
had quite a few "Motown Virgins" who'd never experienced the wonders of Motown
before, hope you enjoyed it folks make sure you come again. To all our regulars, hey gang
you know we love you, thanks yet again.

A few specials to mention. We had yet another married couple who came to the Motown
for that first night out. Many congratulations to William and Margaret on the special day.
Nice to see Pam and the girls back where you belong, same goes for Pete and John, it
was just like old times.

We now have a first for the Motown, I've had to censor one of the photos of the lovely
lady who insisted on showing us her bare bum. It all happens at the Motown!! Should
anyone require a copy of the said photo it can be obtained for £10,000 per copy.

Thats about it gang, hope to see you next week at Farnworth Vets. It's a great room
and should do well.

FRIDAY 30TH OCTOBER 2009 - PATRICROFT CONSERVATIVE CLUB

Well it has to be said this was a generally disappointing turnout, but I should add what
we lacked in quantity we most certainly made up for in quality. It was nice to see some
new faces to "The Motown" and I hope you enjoyed yourselves folks. As usual a massive
thanks to my regular Motowners who are with us almost wherever we go. You know who
you are gang, and you know I love you. It was nice to slightly vary the music as this is
what the crowd wanted, having said that for the lady who wanted "Valerie" that would
have been a step too far.

On the party front, there was only one that mattered, and that was the "21st" party of
Leah. It was good to see so many of her family and friends turning out for what is a very
special day, and we were honoured that you decided to spend it at "The Motown". Happy
happy birthday my love.

Don't forget next Friday it's back to Little Hulton Conservative club. Hope to see you then.

FRIDAY 23RD OCTOBER 2009 - WALKDEN ROYAL BRITISH LEGION

Great to be back at Walkden !! and another fabulous turnout. As ever we were overrun
with "Motown Virgins" how some people have never been to the "Motown" beats me, nevertheless you are very welcome and we hope you now become regulars. As ever
my regulars travelled in from all over the place, you know I love you gang. What was
also great to see was a fair few of the younger generation who just love that Motown
music. It makes me feel that the music will be in good hands for a long time to come
even when I'm not there anymore.

On the party front, happy birthday "Zoe", who had her "19th" party with her friends and
family at the "Motown". I know you had a good one sweet one, that's great !! A special
mention to the lady who you may have noticed with the "flashing glasses" who very
kindly gave me the glasses at the end of the night. I promise you they will be worn on
the "Christmas Do" my love. Thats about it gang.

Don't forget next Friday it's Patricroft Conservative, it's a great room and deserves to
succeed, hope to see you there.

FRIDAY 16TH OCTOBER 2009 - SWINTON ROYAL BRITISH LEGION

This was our first night at Swinton, what can I say, what a packer. Firstly apologises
to those people who didn't get in, as we had to close the doors. The moral of the story
is if you're coming to the "Motown" come early and you'll get in no problem. It was great
to see so many new faces to us, who'd never expierenced the wonders of "Motown"
before. You're no longer "Motown Virgins" gang welcome aboard. Thanks as ever to
my regulars who travelled in from all over the place, we love you gang. If it was the
first time for you send me an E Mail and let me know what you thought, good or bad I'd
love to get all feedback.

There were parties and birthdays to many to mention, hope you enjoyed it folks. A special
mention to the lady who won the big monkey and then let us auction it. A nice touch and
thanks to the gentleman who gave us £100 which will go to help our own armed forces.

Many thanks to Sue & Tom and all there staff who grafted like good uns to keep the booze
flowing. And finally a special mention for Tom off the committee who was responsible
for bringing the "Motown" to Swinton.

We'll be back on Friday 29th January 2009, hope you'll be back with us folks, because
without you we're nothing. Hopefully we can make it more regular next year.

FRIDAY 9TH OCTOBER 2009 - LITTLE HULTON CONSERVATIVE CLUB

Good to be back at "The Con Club" and yet again to report we had loads of "Motown
Virgins" ie. people who have never been to "The Motown" before. As ever thanks to
the regulars who support us wherever we go. You know who you are gang, and as I keep
saying were nothing without you. Unusually there was quite a large absense list to
report as some of the "faithfull" attended the Prestatyn Weekender. No doubt Tone and
the boys will come back wanting 100 mph music.

On the party front we had an invasion from the ladies from Tesco. This is there second
visit on mass. Have a look at the photos there all there, strutting there stuff for the company. Not sure if they get staff discount on booze, but they can certainly put it away
with the best of them.

Not a lot else to report gang except next Friday we start at Swinton British Legion,
I think it will be a good one, do your best to get there.

FRIDAY 25TH SEPTEMBER 2009 - WALKDEN ROYAL BRITISH LEGION.

Not a great deal to report , all I can say it was Walkden and as usual it was a packer.
Thanks to the regulars for your continued support, and it was great to see yet again more
"Motown Virgins" joining us for the first time. I do really wonder where some of these
people have been for the last three years, whatever way gang better late than never.

There were no massive parties, but plenty of smaller ones, who were all bang up for the
Motown, especially my favourite "Monton Motown Maidens". A special mention for
Chris who was making his second visit to the Motown, all the way from mid Wales. The man deserves a medal, and I've got moaners in Little Hulton telling me Walkden is too
far. Top man Chris.

That's it gang next one Little Hulton on Friday 9th October, and what ever you don't do
make sure you make the new venue at Swinton British Legion on Friday 16th October.

FRIDAY 18TH SEPTEMBER 2009 - PATRICROFT CONSERVATIVE CLUB.

This was our third visit to Patricroft, and it must be said it was the least busy one of the
three. Nevertheless what we lacked in quantity we most certainly made up in quality.
Thanks to the regulars who travelled from all over Manchester and it was nice to see
quite a few "Motown Virgins" who were doing the Motown for the first time. Just look at
what you've been missing gang.

We only had one sizeable party, and that was to celebrate the lovely Tracy's birthday.
The girls were on fine form, and were looking for a pole to dance up and down. There
were one or two suggestions for a pole, but I think we better keep it clean, hubby may be reading this.

I was paid a massive compliment I think, by the lady who said I was like Peter Kay
without the wheel chair, I think we're better than "Phoenix Nights" Good news the smoke
machine didn't set the fire alarm off this time.

Try and make the next one at Patricroft on Friday 30th September 2009, and if you fancy
some Motown before them, have a look at our "What's On" page, we're all over the place.

FRIDAY 11TH SEPTEMBER 2009 - LITTLE HULTON CONSERVATIVE CLUB.

If anyone knows a better "Motown Night" than this one please please let me know. It
never fails to amaze me, Little Hulton and it was another burster.

To all our regulars thank you for your continued support, you know we love you, and
to all the "Motown Virgins" who were doing it for the first time, where have you been for
the last three years. To the ladies who nicked our tambourines, we're out looking for you
when we find you it will be smacked bottoms. We'll be round to that ladies hairdressers
to see you.

We had a special on this night. Jimmy who has lovingly restored his scooter brought it
along to display it. There are some great photos of it, check them out. To Jimmy it looks
like you've done that one my boy - you better start another one. Thanks Jimmy.

Make sure you check out our new nights, firstly Swinton Legion then Farnworth Vets and
finally Boothstown Legion. They are all good rooms and should do well.

Next Friday it's Patricroft Conservative Club, try and make it you won't be sorry it's a
cracking room.

FRIDAY 28TH AUGUST 2009 - WALKDEN ROYAL BRITISH LEGION.

It was good to see so many people turning out on a bank holiday weekend. We did
expect it to be less busy than normal. Thanks gang for your continued support.

It was nice to welcome back into the "Motown Family" some of our old friends who
have been missing for a while, especially "Lovely Lynn" from Tesco  and "Kevin Lane's Disco Divas" who managed to travel in from Swinton. Also to all the first timers, welcome
I hope you enjoyed yourselves, this is the best "Motown Night" by far.

The highlight of the night without doubt was my friend Di who I guess had gone a bit
heavy on the vodka deciding to flash "The Boobs". For anybody who missed it I can
tell you it was a very fine sight. Where was Jimmy with that camera when I needed him.

Make a note of the dates at our two new venues - Farnworth Vets & Boothstown Royal
British Legion.

Next night Friday 11th September at Little Hulton Conservative Club. Make sure you
are there.

FRIDAY 14TH AUGUST 2009 - LITTLE HULTON CONSERVATIVE CLUB.

Due to the lateness of getting this blog onto the site, I will keep it short and sweet. Firstly
my sincere apologies if you have been looking for photos over the weekend, this was
not due to any rick by me as suggested by my mate Tone, but a malfunction by Microsoft
which took days to fix.

Firstly a very happy birthday to my friend Diane, who goes back a long way with us. It
was good to see you chose the Motown to celebrate your birthday Di. I can't wait to
meet the new man, what a lucky bloke.

As usual it was a packer at the Con Club, may I thank all our friends both old and new
for your support. As I keep saying we are nothing without you, we realise it and appreciate it.

Make sure you make it to Walkden on 28th August, you won't be sorry.

FRIDAY 31ST JULY 2009 - PATRICROFT CONSERVATIVE CLUB.

OK it's official it was a PAP (Packer at Patricroft). This was our second visit to the
canalside venue and it looks like it's going to become a regular on our tour. It's was
great to see lots of faces from our first visit back again, and also a few new faces. To
any of our regulars who travelled in from all over Manchester thanks gang you know
without you we're nothing.

A couple of unusual happening this time, it seems our "Smoke Machine" set off the
fire alarm. This has never happened anywhere else and I'm not sure it wasn't somebody
having a quiet fag in the toilets. It looks like the secret is out gang. It seems that we may
have started a new fashion in table dancing. If you take a look at the photos you will
see the two originators of the fashion - one at either end of the room. Most impressive
guys keep it up.

It was good to see a couple of professional friends also in the house - Peter evidently
emptied Boothstown Con club to bring the boys to the Motown. Also Alan turned up
from Bolton with a bevy of beauties.

My apoligies to the lady who won the second teddy bear, she seemed a little dissapointed
in the teddy and suggested an Anne Summers voucher would be better. Now I ask you,
I must be getting old fashioned.

Hope to see you all on our next visit on Friday 18th September, and if you get the
urge for some good Motown music before then, if you look at the Whats On page you
will see where we are before then.

FRIDAY 17TH JULY 2009 - WALKDEN ROYAL BRITISH LEGION.

What can we say, to quote The Four Tops it was "The Same Old Song" every time we
come to Walkden its a packer. Yet again there were more and more new faces discovering the wonder of "Motown". It was great to see you gang hope you come again. As ever
can we thank our ever reliable regulars who never let us down.

We had our usual quota of parties and birthdays, a special "Happy Birthday" to Wendy
and Ruth, pleased you picked the "Motown" to celebrate your birthday ladies.

A special mention to two of our regulars Ann & Jean otherwise known as the "Cleavage
Sisters" who were that keen to be at "The Motown" they turned up a week early. I've
heard of the early bird catching the worm, but that's taking it a bit far girls.

Thanks also to Danny, who yet again helped us out with the camera and other things
as Jimmy was a bit off colour. Panic not Dan, Jimmy assures me he will be back fit
and well at the next one.

Don't miss the next one Friday 31st July 2009 at Patricroft Conservative Club. It a new
venue, but it's a cracking room.

FRIDAY 26TH JUNE 2009 - LITTLE HULTON CONSERVATIVE CLUB.

It was back to the Con Club, the original home of our "Motown Nights", and was an
absolute packer. As always thanks to our ever faithful regulars, who never let us down,
and also thanks to all the new faces who discovered the wonder of "The Motown". Come
again gang, you'll realise it becomes addictive.

On the party front, only a small party from St.Anns this time, but we were pleased to
welcome one of our regular "Hen Nights" what better place for those hen nights than
"The Motown". The lovely lady in question was Ann, who is getting married next week
for the THIRD time. You know what they say Ann, if at first you don't succeed try try and
try again. It must be the wedding season, because our number one customer "Wendy"
is making an honest man out of "John" next Friday. They're flying in from all over the
world to make this one.

There were a few returnees who made it back to "The Motown" after a break. It was
great to see Marie back who's had a few months off due to ill health, and also nice to
see Viv one of the few Uncle Toms regulars back with us again.

Thanks to Rose and all her hard working staff for managing to keep the all important
booze flowing, what would we do without you gang.

Don't miss the next one on Friday 17th July 2009, when we will be returning to
Walkden Royal British Legion.

FRIDAY 19TH JUNE 2009 - PATRICROFT CONSERVATIVE CLUB.

Well what can we say? Our first night at Patricroft and it was a packer, it seems that
word has spread that you won't beat us for "Motown Nights". Can I thank all the people
who turned out, and hopefully we have made lots of new friends. Make sure you turn
out next time gang, we need you.

Can I also thank some of our regulars from elsewhere who made the effort to turn out.
You know who you are folks, you know we love you, without you we're nothing. We
didn't have our usual quota of big parties, but thanks to all the NHS people from both
Hope & Trafford hospitals. Good to know I'll be recognised when the old ticker finally
packs in, hopefully that will be years yet.

A special mention to Roger & June who both had birthdays today and also got married
this afternoon. We're honoured that you chose "The Motown" for your wedding evening.
Also thanks to all the ladies from Hampson's, come again girls.

If the lady who asked me to play the Barbara McNair song happens to read this, major
apoligies for missing you out, the memory isn't what it once was. For people who don't
know this is a classic if underplayed song. If your there next time I promise I'll play it.

Finally thanks to Angela and all her staff who apart from working like mad, also made
things easy for us on our first visit. Just like to mention this is the best air conditioning
system, of all the places we go.

Don't miss the next one Friday 26th June 2009 at Little Hulton Conservative Club, if you
can't make that we'll be back at Patricroft on Friday 31st July 2009.

FRIDAY 12TH JUNE 2009 - WALKDEN ROYAL BRITISH LEGION.

Another great night at Walkden. It was good to see lots of new faces, who were at
"The Motown" for the first time. Unfortunately loads of our regulars weren't in attendance
as we clashed with Mike's 60th birthday party which was held elsewhere. Never fear I
know they will all be back at Patricroft next week.

It seemed to be a good night for ex Uncle Toms regulars, it's great to see so many of
them still knocking about, and still after all these years into the music. We even had
a first visit from Jacqueline Carty who was famous for winning a spaghetti eating contest
at Uncle Toms. Also thanks to the party from the travel agents, hope you enjoyed yourself ladies.

For once the sound equipement behaved itself, miracles of all miracles.

Finally we saw the end of an era last evening. The only person to have attended every
one of our evenings right from the start, the lovely Wendy Rasmussen couldn't attend
as she had a prior engagement. How did I manage to get through an evening without
you Wend?

Next evening Friday 19th June 2009 we start at a new venue Patricroft Conservative
Club. It should be a cracker, if you need directions give myself or Jimmy a ring,

FRIDAY 29TH MAY 2009 - LITTLE HULTON CONSERVATIVE

Yet another packer at the home of Motown. It looks like the time of the year where
we have to suffer boiling hot nights. Suppose we shouldn't moan if it was freezing
cold we'd be moaning. Thanks to all the regulars for turning out in your usual high
numbers. Yet again there were plenty of new faces discovering the wonder of Motown.

Last time we were a bit thin on parties, but we made up for it this time. The main
party was from St. Anns who were there in massive numbers. Ladies you know we
love you, even the two ladies who turned up at 7.00pm, and looked a bit cheesed off
that we weren't open yet. There's a great group photo of some of the ladies, but some
of them were either shy , or didn't tell there hubbies they were going to the Motown.
Either way it was great to see you ladies.

A special mention to two of our newcomers, who had made the trip all the way from
Somerset to visit " The Motown", they actually first got together at Uncle Toms and still
love the music. Perhaps we should be trying a Motown night in Somerset.

Yet again we had minor sound problems, but I'm sure eventually I will get to the
bottom of it, unless the repair man bankrupts me first.

Don't miss the next one on Friday 12th June at Walkden British Legion. If your coming
and you'd be mad not to, please please please come early if you want seats.

FRIDAY 15TH MAY 2009 - WALKDEN ROYAL BRITISH LEGION.

It was Walkden - and was yet another packer. Thanks to everybody for your support.
As usual our regulars turned out in force, and yet again it was nice to see lots of new
faces discovering the wonders of Motown.

There wasn't the usual rash of parties that we have been having lately, but nevertheless
there was still a good weight of people. Lots and lots of birthdays seemed to be with
us, and lets be honest where else could you celebrate your birthday than at "The
Motown". Quite a few returnee's who haven't been with us for a while, especially "Kevin
Lane's Disco Divas", who travelled in from Swinton. Good to see you girls, don't let me
down at Patricroft.

Only one cock up to report, for whatever reason one of our speaker stacks collapsed
half way through the night. Hence we ended up running on one stack only for the last
hour or so. Sorry if the quality of the sound for that last hour wasn't as good as normal.
Looks like more money for the repair man.

Don't miss the next one on Friday 29th May at Little Hulton Conservative club. Please
please please folks come early if you want seats.

FRIDAY 1ST MAY 2009 - LITTLE HULTON CONSERVATIVE.

Well where do we start - if anyone tells me there's a better Motown night in the North
West, I'd love to see it.

Firstly thanks to all our regulars for your never ending support, also thanks to all the new
faces who joined us at "The Motown". If you enjoyed yourself, tell all your friends and
bring them with you next time you come. If you didn't enjoy it, I think you need help.

We seem to have become the party venue for all types of ladies. We were honoured
to be invaded with a great party of girls from Tesco, perhaps we can get our CD's played
over the P.A at Walkden ladies. Don't think they'd let us do that girls !!! Also we had a
smaller party from Morrisons, all we were missing was Asda and we'd have had a full house. There was also a group in from Bargain Booze, pleased you made the Motown
folks. Great to see the ladies from St. Anns with us again.

The main scoop of the night, were photos of Peter our head of security from many years
ago, in the days when he had hair !!! Don't worry Pete mine didn't always used to be grey.
I tell people its streaks that went wrong !!!

It has also reached my ears that two ladies who were paying and looking into the room
were heard to say "Look it's the same D J who's on Benidorm off the telly". I know I
might be a bit down market at times but thats ridiculous.

Hope you can make Walkden Legion folks - Friday 15th May 2009. If you can, please
please please come early if you want seats.

FRIDAY 17TH APRIL 2009 - WALKDEN BRITISH LEGION.

Another cracking night at Walkden, it was great to see lots of new faces at "The Motown"
I'm sure if you were new you will have enjoyed yourself. Make sure you come back and
see us again, you won't beat us for "Atmosphere and Music". More and more people
seem to be discovering us, it's only took two years.

Couple of name checks for two long distant visitors to our nights. Glad to see our friend
in from Sydney, Australia, sorry I didn't catch your name but he took a couple of our CD's
back down under. Also great to meet John and his wife from America. You can keep in
touch with us via the web site gang. Also a special mention to my friend Mandy's friend
who came especially from Lincolnshire for her first ever "Motown Night". She tells me
there is nothing like us down in Lincolnshire - perhaps we should get the van packed up.
Finally a special mention to Jackie & Ronald who picked us to celebrate there 27th wedding anniversary. Thanks gang.

And lastly a special thanks to all our regulars - you know who you are. Some like Wendy
has never missed a "Motown Night" in over two years. We really must get her a badge!!!

See you on 1st May at Little Hulton Con. Please please come early it gets packed.

FRIDAY 3RD APRIL 2009 - LITTLE HULTON CONSERVATIVE CLUB.

Not a lot to report this time folks. It was Little Hulton and as usual it was a packer. Thanks
to everyone who turned out, especially all the new faces. We seem to be getting more
and more new faces, and it's good that new people are discovering what we do and the
fabulous music we play. Ok it's music of a bygone age, but from someone who's been
around for many many years, you won't beat our music for dance music.

I was pleased to see that our new CD seemed to be as popular as all the previous ones
have been. If you don't know they are ideal either in the car, in the kitchen are just about
anywhere else.

No cock ups this time gang, I told you we'd get the hang of it in the end.

Do your best to make Walkden Legion on Friday 17th April. You won't be sorry.

FRIDAY 20TH MARCH 2009 - WALKDEN BRITISH LEGION

Well it's becoming the norm these days - It's Walkden it's another packer. To everyone
who turned out thanks folks, to one or two of our regulars who didn't you're in deep
trouble. The excuse better be good.

We seemed to be overun with birthdays, its was good to see so many parties out
celebrating. A special happy birthday to Lloyd one of our Lady Soul set. To Cath,
Pam and the Glamour set who went for a night out in Swinton, but soon came to
there senses and got back to the Motown, we love you girls. Nice to see a face from
the past in Jean from the "Bennys" days. Lovely to see Lisa back with us, shame she
can't keep her mother more under control. We love you Wend, thanks for saving the
day with the wax. And finally Kevin Lane's own "Disco Divas" from Swinton, were
back in the fold. No excuses next time girls.

No cock up's to report this time, we're almost becoming professional. After forty odd
years we really ought to know what we are doing.

One special mention, we are starting a new night on Friday 17th June at Patricroft
Conservative Club. This date is the 39th anniversary of Jimmy Ruffin appearing at
Uncle Toms. Is that a coincidence or what.

Don't miss the next one in two weeks. Friday 3rd April at LITTLE HULTON CON.

FRIDAY 6TH MARCH 2009 - LITTLE HULTON CONSERVATIVE CLUB

The first thing to say is we have now gone into our third year of operation with
"Nostalgia Revue". To everyone who has supported us during that time, thanks
gang, without you we're nothing.

This was another packer, and it was great to see lots of new faces as well as all
our regulars. If you were new to our nights, I know you will have enjoyed it, come
again, you'll have to go a long way to beat us for atmosphere. A couple of great
parties in,especially the lady who said she was sixty, didn't look anywhere near that
age to me. Never fear she can join me in the "Bus Pass Club". Also nice to see
Janis Elaine and the girls bringing the fellas for once on the girls night out. Alan
your a star, putting up with all that noise. Can't see that you will be allowed to
become regulars though. Finally on the birthday front the lovely Shelley from Tesco
was 35 last week, she was out with her mum who used to come to Uncle Toms, the girl
knows how to make me feel old. Never fear still love you Shelley.

Only one cock up to report, early in the night a trap door in the ceiling suddenly
opened and dropped down. Please to report no injuries and our Public Liability insurance didn't need to come into play. The powers that be at The Con Club assure
me that it will be sorted by next time.

Thats it folks don't miss two weeks time WALKDEN BRITISH LEGION, Friday
20th March 2009.

FRIDAY 6TH FEBRUARY 2009 - LITTLE HULTON CONSERVATIVE CLUB

This was our first evening at Little Hulton in 2009. It was just like 2008 but better. It
was packed, which was a terrific sight at this time of the year. Thanks to everyone
who turned out, I know you had a fabulous night which is what we are all about.

It was good to see some faces that we haven't seen for a while, and it was noticeable
how many new faces were there. Obviously word is out, you won't beat us when it
comes to Motown Nights. Don't forget Motown has been going 50 years and we have
been there for most of that time(we started very very young honest). Nice to have
a visitor from Spain - the lovely Claire who's ex Little Hulton but has been in Spain
for many years. She's been E Mailing for years about the Kids Disco at Uncle Toms, but
didn't turn up in the "white socks" which was a shame.

Special mention also for Janice who made the effort to turn out. I was a bit worried
that Mark had buried her under the patio, it's so long since she's been to Motown. And
of course special thanks to our ever reliable regulars, who never let me down. You
know who you are Thanks we appreciate it.

Only one "cock up" which is good for us - early on some of the music was running
fast, sorry gang but in the end we got a grip of the technology. It was a lot easier
when there was just two record decks and not much else.

Dont miss the next one Friday 6th March - Little Hulton Con.

FRIDAY 23RD JANUARY 2009 - WALKDEN BRITISH LEGION

This was our first bash of 2009, and to be honest we thought it would be quiet, what
with it being January and the Credit Crunch etc.not a bit of it we were more packed
than ever. Thanks to everyone who turned out, I know you enjoyed it as much as
usual. While your turning out we'll keep it going.

We seemed to have an abundance of birthdays, so here's a few name checks. Happy
birthday to Jean - young Gary pushed the boat out of with birthday cake and nibbles. Happy birthday to the lovely Dot, half of our "Love Couple" Dave and Dot. And finally on the birthday front, happy birthday Pam (minus Charlie this night) your a nutter but we
love you.

It was great to see lots of new faces. Welcome to all the people who came from
"The Link" I know you enjoyed it and hope you'll come again. To the major crowd
who came from "Hope Hospital" make sure you come back, and make us your "Motown
Night". In case you didn't know we're "The Mother Of All Motown Nights" you'll struggle
to beat us.

Finally to all our regulars, you know who you are thanks we love you.

Make a date - Friday 6th February 2009 Little Hulton Con. don't miss it

FRIDAY 19TH DECEMBER 2008 - WALKDEN BRITISH LEGION

This was our last Nostalgia Revue evening of the year, thanks for turning out in such
numbers gang. It was packed.

First the serious business. We were missing two of our strongest regulars, but it won't
be for long. Firstly Julie who had an operation last week, sure she'll be back soon. The
girls did you proud Julie. And secondly one of the Uncle Toms regulars Vivien who's
been in hospital, but I know she'll be back, she just loves that Motown.

Now to the night. It started well, Roy who does our moving message boards managed
to spell MOTOWN wrong, I ask you what type of monkeys have I got on the team. Thanks
to the girls from Swinton who all turned up in Red and White and with Rosettes - I love
you ladies. Great to see the party from St.Ann's Hospice for Margarets retirement party,
you certainly gave her a great send off girls. And to the regulars who have been there
since the beginning, you know who you are, you're all stars.

The night was full of some of the strangest fashion statements you could ever see. Already mentioned are Kevin Lane's Disco Divas, Elaine and the girls were sporting a very
tasteful attire of "Flashing Earings & Kiss Me Quick Hats" Personally I thought my
Christmas Headgear was "Cool in The Extreme". I'll let you decide!! Cath Pam and the
Bevy of Beauties all looked stunning as usual.

Finally on behalf of myself, Jimmy and Roy can I wish you all a Very Merry Christmas
and a Happy New Year.

We're back in 2009 - Friday 23rd January Walkden Legion you'd be mad to miss it.

FRIDAY 28TH NOVEMBER 2008 - LITTLE HULTON CONSERVATIVE CLUB.

This was our last do of the year at Little Hulton Conservative Club, and like all the
other evenings we've had there this year it was a cracker. For once for us, all ran
smoothly which the way things have gone of late, was a pleasant surprise.

Our next evening is the big one of the year 19th December 2008 at Walkden Royal
British Legion. You'd be mad to even consider missing it.

It was nice to see some of our old friends turning out, and even nicer to welcome
some new friends to the magic of Motown. People still turn up and say I never knew
this happened, don't know where they have been hiding themselves.

It was a shame to see one of our staunch regulars missing, unfortunately Vivien's
having a spell in hospital, but knowing Viv it won't be long till she's back with us
bopping away to Motown.

If you're coming to the Christmas Do at Walkden - please, please come early cause
once it's full thats it, and we'd hate to turn any of our regulars away,

FRIDAY 7TH NOVEMBER 2008 - WALKDEN ROYAL BRITISH LEGION

Another cracking night at Walkden, thanks to everyone who made the effort to
turn up. To those who didn't you want shooting. A special mention to Tony Burdaky
who turned out, when he probably shouldn't have done. Tone had a rather bad
accident with a firework and came off second best. Just shows you can't keep a
good man away from "The Motown".

Nice to see the lovely Sue, who was one of the original barmaids at Uncle Toms
Cabin all those years ago. She crept in with a party of ladies but we recognised her
eventually after a little prompting.

Apart from that lots and lots of regulars - thanks for your continued support, because
without you we are nothing.

See you at The Con Club on Friday November 28th.

FRIDAY 24TH OCTOBER 2008 - LITTLE HULTON CONSERVATIVE CLUB

An eventful night at The Con Club to say the least, another great turnout thanks
to everyone who showed up. Good to see all the Prestatyn revellers back with us,
all in one piece. Great to have the birthday party from St. Anns with us hope you
enjoyed it ladies, make sure you come again.

All was going well till half way through the night the till on the bar broke down and
they had to shut the bar. At that point everyone had to get there drinks from the
downstairs bar. It made for a change I suppose, but seriously may we apoligise for
the inconvenience caused, it was a bit beyond our control.

We had no Austrailian travellers this time, the longest trip this time was from Wakefield
in Yorkshire.

Not a lot else to say about it apart from another crazy, crazy, great night at The Con.

Hope to see you on Friday 7th November at Walkden British Legion. Thanks.

FRIDAY 3RD OCTOBER 2008 - WALKDEN ROYAL BRITISH LEGION.

Back to the regular Friday nights, another cracker at Walkden. Although a lot of
our regulars were missing we still managed a good turnout. Thanks folks.

Nice to see Cath back with the girls after her foot operation you won't stop these
girls bopping.

My friend Elaine had a happy birthday with us - somebody said it was her 25th, not
sure about that? Have a cracker in Cyprus Elaine.

Now then an award for the people to travel the most miles to be at a "Motown Night"
goes to Ken & Dot who were ex Little Hulton but have lived in Australia for a few years
now. Puts to shame the Little Hulton regulars who say its too far to go to Walkden. The
good news is that "Nostalgia Revue CD's" will be travelling back to the other side of
the world. Plenty of Four Tops on them Ken.

Thanks to everyone hope to see you at "The Con Club" on Friday 24th October 2008.

SATURDAY 20TH SEPTEMBER 2008 - A NIGHT FOR ADGE - THE ARMITAGE.

What a great night we had. I felt that it was the sort of night "Adge" would have
enjoyed.

Firstly the big news we raised one way and another between the door takings, raffle
money, auction money and general collections £899.86. What can I say but thanks
to everybody who contributed - you did well. To any of our regulars who weren't there
you have some explaining to do.

Thanks to Wendy for the raffle she managed to "extort" money out of people with
a lovely smile. Nice one Wend. Thanks to Danny who stood in at the last minute
when Jimmy went down with the back yard trots. You did well Dan. Thanks to the
following Manchester United FC for donating the signed football, Salford Rugby Club for the signed Salford Reds Shirt, Barbara for donating the framed George Best photo,
Mandy the fastest postwoman in Swinton for the bottle of Grouse whisky.

As far as I'm concerned you were all "Stars of the Night", but there was one very
special "Five Star" person there and that was "Eve" Adge's wife who not only turned
up on a night which can't have been easy for her but also bought the rugby shirt in
the auction. Let's hope it helped that she knew we all thought the world of Adge.

FRIDAY 12TH SEPTEMBER 2008 - LITTLE HULTON CONSERVATIVE CLUB.

The usual cracking night at the Con.Club, numbers were a bit thin, but as usual
everyone had a great time.

It was good to see Syl back at the Motown as she has had a bit of a rough time, but
Syl will never change, she was bang up for it as usual. Thanks to all the regulars for
turning out time after time - without you we're nothing.

Vivien's took to doing a "Sandie Shaw" barefoot dancing she's got the hump as the
talc has been banned.

Hope you enjoyed it, make sure you make "A NIGHT FOR ADGE" at the Armitage on
SATURDAY 20TH SEPTEMBER.

FRIDAY 29TH AUGUST 2008 - LITTLE HULTON CRICKET CLUB.

Not a great deal to report from this evening. A poor turnout for what I always considered
to be the venue we did with the best atmosphere. Never fear what people were there
seemed to enjoy themselves.

The good news was the new equipement worked fine, apart from one or two operator
errors (I'll get the hang of it soon - promise). Nice to see a few returning faces who
hadn't been for a while. But it was unfortunate we had a list of sick notes as long as
your arm, but hey "Thats Life".

The star of the show was undoubtably a new friend from London called "Carol" who
showed Little Hulton's finest how to "boogie" the night away. Hope you come again
soon Carol.

Thanks to the regulars, I dont know what we would do without you.

FRIDAY 15TH AUGUST 2008 - THE ARMITAGE, LITTLE HULTON.

This night was what you might call a total disaster, could anything else possibly
go wrong. Firstly The Armitage a new venue to us, its a good sized room and will
be the ideal place for our "Night for Adge".

If you were there you will know that our equipement blew up. This I suppose had
to happen sometime, although it has never happened before and hopefully will
never happen again. I think if we ever get another breakdown I could end up on
drugs legal or otherwise. I'm proud to say that we managed to get through the night
using the House System. A big thank you to the Armitage.

To the regulars thanks for staying with us, to anyone who was new I promise you
we are normally more professional than this.

The big question - should we bar Vivien's talcum powder? The fumes were hitting
the stage, it was like a bad Saturday in "Boots". Let me know your thoughts.

The main star of the night was our own "Roy" who is normally our cashier but almost
single handedly managed to keep the "House Music System" going. This meant that
at least we didn't all have to go home at 10.30pm, when our system blew up.
Nice one MC Spencer(That's his second name)

FRIDAY 1ST AUGUST 2008 - WALKDEN ROYAL BRITISH LEGION

This was a good night and we got a better attendance than at the previous event at
Walkden. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and the second CD was very
popular. I hope you all enjoy it.

The first news is that "Danny Watt" our ideas man became a Grandfather this week,
and as I write this he is busy assembling his "Scalextric" collection.

The main star of the night was one "Mike Berdaky" who was rather late arriving ,due
to the fact that he went to the wrong venue. According to my spy he walked into
Little Hulton Conservative Club, took one look and muttered "where the f**k is Kev,
and then said "Oh S**T and roared off back down the stairs and proceeded to
hotfoot it to Walkden. Nice one Mike.

MY PROFESSIONAL LIFE:

I started disc jockeying at "The Limit Club" Middleton where I was the assistant to the
assistant of the assistant of the disc jockey (In other words I went for the Coke's no booze
in those days). From there I went as second assistant at "Bury Palais"(big promotion).
Eventually the big break came and I got a job as number one disc jockey at a club
on Deansgate in Manchester called "The Majestic" This was quite a popular club mainly
Motown/Soul All Nighters the lot. From there I went to "The New Century Hall" in
Manchester this was all big name charts acts Who/Small Faces/Etc.I was also at this
time doing one nighters all over the country. Then the call came from one Tom Brown
would I like to DJ and part manage a club in Little Hulton called "Uncle Toms Cabin". To
be honest I don't think I even knew where Little Hulton was then, I soon found out. There
is a full Uncle Toms story elsewhere on the site. This is where I first meet Jimmy Barlow
and we have been friends ever since. From there I went to" Uncle Toms Cabin" in Darwin
near Blackburn (this was both Cabaret and Disco). Eventually I moved on from there and
worked at "The Beachcomber" and "The Empress" clubs in Bolton. Then came my first
stint in Torquay where I worked at "The Compass Club". By this time I was doing more
managing than disc jockeying which was probably a mistake. I then came back to
Manchester and ran "The Brown Cow" which was a disco pub in Middleton. Then it was
back to Torquay working between "The Compass Club" and "The Blagdon Inn". At "The
Blagdon Inn"we ran an authentic "Spanish Barbeque" (All Viva Espania, San Gria, and
people dancing on the tables). Then it was back to Manchester again where I ran
"Bennys" a nightclub in Radcliffe owned by the footballers - all very glam. Then it was
back to Torquay for my last season there when I worked across four clubs and also had
my own guesthouse. The final move back to Manchester took me to managing firstly
"The Talk of The North" in Eccles, and then "Blightys" in Farrnworth. Then I decided
that that was enough and set up my present business and took a break from the
nightlife.
